F@cebook is my life…

I’ve been reading blogs by other #cpd23 participants.  I enjoy the chance to see what others are doing, what they have to say.   Additionally, I like to read how the other bloggers are writing.  One thing I’m finding difficult is setting my tone.  Do I want to be personal and informal or professional and formal?  I tend to be an informal thinker/writer but I’m not sure that is the direction I want to take with this blog.

So, how does F@cebook enter the picture?  Well, each time I’ve visited a new blog I’ve looked for the “like” button under the posts.   Guess what?  There isn’t one!

CPD23 Thing 1

As I said in an my first post, I created this blog for participation in cpd23.

Blogging is the “thing” I am looking forward to the least.  I don’t always like the way I write.  Therefore, I don’t enjoy putting myself out into the world for “evaluation”.   I’m hopeful that by the end of cpd 23 I will be a comfortable blogger, if not an avid one.  I am most looking forward to the opportunity to network with and learn from my peers.

I am very interested in Week 11 — Getting involved.  I enjoy attending and organising seminars.  Maybe cpd23 will help me learn to enjoy presenting as well?

Hello world!

This blog is primarily for use with CPD 23 Things .  I hope to be able to advance my skills as a librarian while networking / working with others.

A little about me:  I am the Director of Library Services at a North Carolina library.  I love to knit, I love to read (of course!), and I love to scrapbook.
